The next three decades need third wave of poverty reduction in Africa. By - CHRISTABEL LIGAMI The 2018 report co–authored by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, calls for the world to accelerate investments in human capital, particularly health and education. The study looked at the challenges presented by the demographics of extreme poverty. It explored what it will take in the areas of health, education, and economic opportunity to position Africa’s booming youth population to transform the continent. She is now enrolled as a 10th grade learner in the uni...

By Ulrich Janse van Vuuren: The Ndlovu Youth Choir and Grammy Award-winning South African flute player Wouter Kellerman have teamed up to record an unique isiZulu cover version of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’. We absolutely love it! They filmed this really awesome music video at the Maropeng Cradle of Humankind World Heritage site in Gauteng, South Africa to accompany the hit song! Founded in 2009, the exuberant Ndlovu Youth Choir has toured southern Africa and Europe with their multi-sensorial performances to significant critical and audience acclaim. The members are selected by audition from the young people from the Ndlovu Care Group, a community program providing healthcare, early childhood education, after-school activities, and more to rural Moutse, Limpopo, South Africa. Program directors find that, because of the time commitment of the choir, as well as the values of self-discipline, self- confidence, and leadership that participation imbues, choristers have lower rates...
